Partner Churches
The UU Partner Church Council is an affiliate of the UUA, founded at the General Assembly in 1993. Its purpose is to harness and coordinate grassroots energy of the UU churches that have formed partnerships with Unitarian churches in Transylvania and Central Europe. These partnerships were formed originally to save Unitarianism in Transylvania during the social upheaval following the collapse of communism.
All Souls has formed a partnership with the Unitarian church in Énlaka, a beautiful village in the hills of Romania. Lajos Dancs, minister of the Énlaka church, visited the pulpit of All Souls in February 2001, and in the Spring of 2002, All Souls' Children's and Youth choirs returned the visit.
