CHILDCARE
(Newborns – 3 years)
Childcare is provided to well infants and toddlers during all worship services. Our paid caregiver staff is supervised by Cathy Wolf. Rooms 113 (infants and cruisers) and 112 (toddlers through 3 years of age) open at 9:45 on Sunday mornings.
Parents must sign children in and out of childcare and leave a cell phone number and/or destination within the church. Parents are welcome to stay for a few minutes to help their children settle in. In addition there are observation windows in the hallway to help assure parents of their children’s well-being.
The worship service may also be viewed on closed circuit television in the Family Room.
PRESCHOOL
(Potty Trained and 3 years old – pre-Kindergarten)
Chalice Children learn about Unitarian Universalism and All Souls using a curriculum that integrates rituals, rhythms, chants and stories. Taught upstairs in Room 202, the program nurtures spiritual growth, creativity and a sense of community. Parents must sign children in and out of each session
ELEMENTARY
(Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
A summer full of outdoor play and exploration, science activities and art projects will introduce elementary-age children to several distinguished Unitarian and Universalist men and women, including
• Frank Lloyd Wright
• Buckminster Fuller
• Beatrix Potter
The curriculum uses powerful examples and role models to encourage creativity and teach the traditions of our faith community.
Elementary-aged children will start each Sunday in the Sanctuary at 10:00 am with their parents. After the Story for All Ages, children will be led by CRE staff to the Presidents’ Room for activities and play.
All children participating in our Summer CRE Program must fill out a Registration Card or a Visitors Card to be kept on file. In addition, parents must sign in their children in the foyer before the service begins and sign out their children from the Presidents’ Room following the service.
