Summer Programming
May 31 – September 6, 2009

CHILDCARE
(Newborns – 3 years)

Childcare is provided to well infants and toddlers during all worship services.  Our paid caregiver staff is supervised by Cathy Wolf.  Rooms 113 (infants and cruisers) and 112 (toddlers through 3 years of age) open at 9:45 on Sunday mornings.

Parents must sign children in and out of childcare and leave a cell phone number and/or destination within the church.  Parents are welcome to stay for a few minutes to help their children settle in.  In addition there are observation windows in the hallway to help assure parents of their children’s well-being.
The worship service may also be viewed on closed circuit television in the Family Room.

PRESCHOOL
(Potty Trained and 3 years old – pre-Kindergarten)
Chalice Children learn about Unitarian Universalism and All Souls using a curriculum that integrates rituals, rhythms, chants and stories.  Taught upstairs in Room 202, the program nurtures spiritual growth, creativity and a sense of community.  Parents must sign children in and out of each session

CHILDREN (those who have completed Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
and TWEENS (those who have completed 6th – 9th grades)
At 10:00 and 11:30 am, children and tweens will begin every Sunday in the Sanctuary attending the first part of the worship service.  After the “Story for All Ages,” our volunteer adult facilitators will lead the children to the Presidents’ Room and the tweens to the Sponge Room for discussion of the story, check in and work on ongoing art projects.

Parents and caregivers of children in 5th grade and younger must sign their children in and out of class.
Every child, tween and youth participating in All Souls Programming must have a completed Registration Form or a Visitors Card on file.

YOUTH
(10th-12th Grade)
During the summer, youth attend worship in the Sanctuary. They are welcome to sit with their families or members of the Youth Board and other youth. After the service, join them for coffee or brunch in Emerson Hall.

Exciting summer avtivities for registered youth include a Float Trip down the Illinois River in June, a summer social action project with Heifer International in July, and pool parties and a middle school mixer in August.
